Your Bio
I am an enthusiastic, published event photographer specialising in music, environmental and studio portraiture.
A keen musician, my main passion is photographing live music events, having gained considerable experience from shooting everything from a large festival in a desert, to small, intimate shows in the backstreet venues of London.
Growing up in Swansea, South Wales, my love of photography was passed down from my Grandfather who, with every bit of enthusiasm, was as keen to get me behind the camera as much as in front of it!
Using his beloved fixed-lens SLR camera, with which you set up a shot based on a mix of complex calculations and guesswork, I was better at light metering and deciphering f-stop numbers at age 10 than I was at certain subjects at school.
Perhaps the most valuable lesson he taught me, though, was to always put the strap over my head first - something I still insist on if you ever ask to take a shot with my camera.
I currently live in Basingstoke, Hampshire, with my ever-supportive girlfriend, which provides me with an ideal base that is as close to London's vibrant and diverse music and arts scene, as it is to some of southern England’s most idyllic countryside vistas.
